The the re-enactment on the 300th Anniversary of the Battle of Almansa, Spain.

The War of the Spanish Succession 1702-1714 saw vast European armies pitted against each other. The Battle of Almansa was fought on 25th April 1707. On 29th and 30th April 2007 re-enactors gathered from around Europe to live history and re-enact the battle in a period camp, on the battlefield itself, and in the shadow of the Castillo de Almansa.

The town of Almansa placed itself at the centre of events over a week which saw musical events, historical presentations, the memorial ceremony, and the re-enactment of the battle itself.

These images are my part in a play of many actors which has taken much dedication in preparation.
